I am very happy to be the newest
addition to the JOH team. I was adopted from Seoul, South Korea
when I was 18 months old by a loving and supportive family. I
attended
Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA, where I received my
BA in Sociology with a minor in English and Comparative Literary
Studies. After graduation, I worked for
AmeriCorps
NCCC completing various community service projects in New
Orleans, LA, Dallas, TX, and Denver, CO. I have also worked for
the ACLU of Oregon, the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Denver,
Activities Director of a small city orphanage with 10-12
children, ages 4-14, of poverty stricken youth in Costa Rica,
and as a forensic Social Work Intern at the Legal Aid Society in
the Bronx, NY.
Currently, I am working toward an
MSW, and have completed one semester at the
Columbia
University School of Social Work in New York. I plan to
finish the degree at
Portland State
University. |
