Dear Expectant Parents, adoption agency

Thank you for taking the time to learn more- About us.  We cannot pretend to fully understand what you are going through, but we do know that you are putting your child first wanting to ensure they find a lifetime of love, security, and happiness.  We admire and respect your courage in making this difficult and selfless decision.    By taking a few minutes to read through this profile we hope that you can get a glimpse of what our life is like, and more importantly, what your child’s life will be like if you decide to place him or her with us.  We are honored to share this with you.

We met while living in Arizona and have been happily married since 2000.  We both waited to get married until we knew we had found the right person, someone with common values, a zest for life, and a great sense of humor.  We are each other’s best friends and are very eager to include children into our happy home

Patrick was raised in California and has one older brother.  His parents and step father were always very involved with his activities, from competing in a freckle face contest to sports and homework assignments.  Cynthia was raised as a true southern girl in North Carolina.  She has one older brother and loving parents who guided her to follow her talents in music, artistic creativity, and academics.  For both of us, friends and family were always welcome at our house and often that meant an extra place at the dinner table.  This is the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere we would like to create for a child in our home.

adoption agencyWe are surrounded by love and support of other family members.  Cynthia’s brother, his wife, and their 12 year old son along with Patrick’s mother and step father all live locally.  Patrick’s brother lives in southern California along with his wife and three children.  Cynthia’s parents and Patrick’s father and step mother are frequent visitors from their homes in Arizona.  They are all very excited and eager to welcome a new family member.

Shortly after we were married, we chose to relocate from Arizona to Oregon.  Our home is located on a dead end street where we are surrounded by great neighbors with small children and babies.  We have created a warm, loving home with room to expand.  Our home includes four bedrooms (one being a beautiful nursery), great family areas, and a fenced yard perfect for at home play.  Within our neighborhood are four parks, walking trails, and highly rated schools.

We are both Real Estate Appraisers.  As such, we both work from home and this allows us a great deal of flexibility to our days.  Cynthia is a 17 year employee of a major bank, and Patrick is self employed.  We have made these career choices in order to optimize involvement in our future family.

Our lives include two loving beagles, Daisy and Baron.  Daisy is seven years old and has been with us since she was a puppy.  Baron is six years old and was adopted into our family after being abandoned two years ago.

We love spending time together in our back yard, going for long walks, and spending summer days at the beach.  Daisy loves frolicking in the tide pools and Baron gets his exercise chasing sea gulls.  Individually, Cynthia loves crafts, home decorating, gardening, and playing the piano.  She spends free time volunteering for local civic organizations.  Patrick loves sports, including golf, baseball, and basketball.  Together we enjoy traveling, spending summer days at the beach, enjoying water activities, playing games with friends and family, entertaining with backyard BBQ’s and just spending time together.

We hope these few words and photos will help to give you a glimpse into our life. If you should find it in your heart to give us the greatest gift that anyone could everadoption agency give, please know that your child will never feel alone, will always be loved, will be kept safe, will learn to believe in him or herself, and will experience the joys of a wonderful family life.  No matter what, your child will always have a safe place to land with our family.

We are committed to making sure your child will always know the strength and courage it took for you to come to the decision to allow us to adopt your child. It takes a truly special person to consider an adoption plan and you will always hold a place of honor in our family.

If you chose to place your child with us, we look forward to building a positive relationship with you.  We would respect your adoption plan and share with you the development of your child.  Your child will always know just how special you are.  Nothing would make us happier than to discuss and hear- About your hopes and aspirations for your child.  Hopefully these few words and pictures will only be the beginning of our getting to know each other.

Patrick & Cynthia
