Dear Expectant Parentsfamily to adopt

We are so grateful for your consideration and time; we can only imagine the difficulty of the decision you are facing.  We have an enormous amount of respect for you and your decision, and trust that you will make the best decision for you and your baby.

We are Matt and Danielle, and we are so excited for the chance to start a family.  We look forward to building a relationship with you that suits your needs and hope to have an open and fulfilling relationship that benefits you and your child.

We live in Oregon in a lovely, tree-lined neighborhood that is close to all our beautiful city has to offer.  We are blocks away from two parks, and our neighborhood is very family friendly.  We enjoy close relationships with our neighbors, and several of our closest and most supportive friends, and their families live right in our neighborhood.  We look forward to raising our family in Oregon, and teaching them- About all our wonderful state has to offer – we are perfectly situated to have access to the ocean, mountains, and the bounty of an abundant agricultural area.  Our favorite family activities include hiking, exploring farmer’s markets and produce stands, camping, gardening, visiting the Oregon Coast, playing cards and games and cooking delicious food.  We have friends and family in both the Pacific Northwest and on the East Coast, and we enjoy spending as much time with them as possible.

We met six years ago at work and were immediately friends and professional colleagues.  We started dating- About a year later and have been together ever since; our friendship has always been the basis for our relationship and that helps us navigate through any difficult times that arise.  As you will see, we have different individual interests and hobbies, but even our differences enhance our relationship by allowing us to complement one another.

Matt is a Produce Wholesaler and enjoys the flexibility and interaction that comes with a sales position.  His work has a regular schedule that allows for most weekends off and the flexibility to adjust as needed to meet the needs of a growing family.  Danielle is a Human Resources Administrator for a large, family friendly grocery business.  Her schedule allows for a considerable amount of autonomy and flexibility that will allow for Matt and Danielle to be the primary care givers, even after both return to work.

While we definitely enjoy our time together, we also have hobbies and interests independent of each other.  Matt is an avid fisherman and will fish any chance he gets, but even more than fishing by himself or with his friends, Matt is looking forward to teaching our family how to fish and enjoy the outdoors.  Matt also enjoys any manner of sports, whether playing or watching.  His love of anything involving play, his patience and his zest for life will make him an excellent father.  Danielle is a terrific cook and is always on a quest for something new and yummy to cook for our family.  She enjoys cooking, reading- About cooking, and canning jams, jellies and anything else possible (a perfect hobby for the wife of a produce salesman!).  Danielle is also an avid reader, and enjoys any activity that involves learning something new – this along with her nurturing guidance, patience and high-spiritedness will help her be a great mother.

We have an extended network of family and friends who are so supportive of our decision to adopt, and all are looking forward to the new addition to our family.  We are excited to raise our family at the same time as our siblings and friends, most of whom have or are expecting children.  Our support system is strong and we are looking forward to all we have to learn as first time parents.

We wish you peace and comfort as you contemplate this decision and support whatever is best for you and your child.  If you choose us to be parents to your child, we hope for you to be an important part of our lives, and we hope to build a relationship on respect and trust.  Thank you for taking to time to learn- About us, and we hope to have the opportunity to honor you as a part of our family.

Respectfully,

Matt and Danielle
