Dear Expectant Parents,

We admire your strength and selflessness to love your baby so much to choose adoption for him/her.  We promise to always love, support and encourage your child as they blossom into the wonderful person you know they can become. We will do everything we can to help them fulfill the dreams you have for their future and we will always be grateful for the opportunity to do so.

We feel that all children deserve honesty and are most complete knowing where they come from so an open adoption is very important to us.  Your child will always know that your decision was made out of love and your hopes of giving them a fulfilling life by choosing the right family especially for them. We look forward to honoring you by sharing with them every day the amazing love you have for your baby and how you had a dream for their precious life.

We know that you are faced with many difficult decisions right now and we hope that this will give you just a glimpse into our lives and into our hearts.

Together We Stand

We met at Oregon State University when we were set up by a friend at a party.  She told each of us that the other one was interested - even though neither one of us had noticed the other.  But it worked and we have been together ever since.  We dated for five years before getting married and have now been married for 17 years.  We are complete opposites in almost every way but it makes us a great team.  Where one of us is weak, the other can pick up the slack.  We love to travel and take one big vacation each year as well as several smaller ones.  We are never ones to back away from adventure and love to spend time with our family and friends.  After all this time together, we can often finish each other's sentences and we are truly each other's best friend.

Diana

Diana was adopted as a baby so she understands the importance of open adoption.  She is the person she is today because her birth mother made the same difficult decision that you are facing.  Diana was raised in a very close-knit family and is the oldest of three girls.  She currently has an online gift business that will allow her to be a stay-at-home mother.   Diana runs Half Marathons and enjoys Boot Camp workouts.  She loves to read and has a teddy bear collection that she enjoys decorating the house with. Diana has always dreamed of being a mother and can't wait to welcome a child into her life.

Will

Will was born in Croatia and came to the United States when he was 9 months old.  He is the middle child with six brothers and sisters.  Will works for an insurance company in Technology Finance.  He enjoys his work because of the challenges it provides.  Will commutes to work on his bicycle every day and does some racing during the spring.  He is a huge soccer fan and is especially loyal to the Arsenal FC.  Will is a great cook, an amazing photographer and he always has a book in his hand.  Will loves to play with our nieces and nephews and can't wait to play with our own child.

Our Home

During our years together, we have lived in Oregon, Illinois and California.  We were both raised in Oregon and our families live here so it was important for us to come back "home" to start our family.  We live in a suburb of Portland and have been in our three bedroom home for 6 years.  We live in a great neighborhood that is full of young and active families.  An emphasis is placed on families in our community with activities such as Easter Egg Hunts and Costume Parades.  We also have a beautiful park with a play structure, basketball court and a swimming pool.  We have two cats, Shadow and Mischief, who bring us a lot of happiness.  They love to play hide and seek with our nieces and nephews.

Our greatest hope is to raise a child in a happy, loving home where they have every opportunity to enjoy the good things in life.   We will allow your child space to explore their interests, learn about other cultures, and grow into the individual they are.  We will guide your child to become a caring, compassionate and respectful person.  But most of all, we will shower him/her with love.  Becoming parents means the world to us and it's a responsibility we won't take lightly.
